“Good Ole Days” at the Alabama Nature Center
Do you miss the time when life was simple? Bring the family out to learn more about the "Good Ole Days" at the Alabama Nature Center in Millbrook, AL. On Saturday Oct. 16 from 9:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m, the U.S. Forest Service and numerous other organizations and individuals will participate in an educational event that will take you back in time. Enjoy a day of demonstrations on pottery, clogging, herding dogs and quilting. Kids can enjoy a hike, hayride, pick out there very own pumpkin, and learn about the importance of trades like beekeeping, woodcarving and flintknapping. The U.S. Forest Service wildland firefighters will also be there demonstrating fire fighting techniques and explaining how to care for our national forests. What a wonderful way to enjoy a fall day!
