2010 Fleischman Lecture with Tim Hossler
"Standing Next to Annie: My Life as Ms. Leibovitz's In-House Art Director"
Each year the Museum invites a noted speaker and specialist in a field related to a special exhibition to present the Fleischman lecture. The lecture series is sponsored by the Carolyn and Winton Blount Endowment in honor of Larry Fleischman. This year's Fleischman speaker, Tim Hossler, is the former in-house art director for Annie Leibovitz. Following the opening reception for Annie Liebovitz: WOMEN, Mr. Hossler will share his experiences and insights having worked closely with the photographer During his five and a half year tenure from the late 90’s through the early 2000’s, he helped Ms. Leibovitz create some of her most memorable images, books and exhibitions. Mr. Hossler is currently the art director of The Wolfsonian–Florida International University in Miami Beach, Florida.
